This will be my final post in this series. When I posted Part 1 on January 1st of this year, I had so many topics and ideas burning in my brain, that it could have easily filled 20+ posts. As the months went by, my enthusiasm waned a bit, and my interests, my time and energy were directed elsewhere. But I would still like to say a few words to end the series properly, and maybe provide some semblance of closure.
So the year 2012 is drawing to an end, the much anticipated date of 12/21/2012 has come and gone… and here we are. What has happened? What, if anything, has changed? Was it all just a bunch of hype?
Well the world didn’t end, that’s for sure - there was no meteor impact, no alien invasion, no tidal waves, no apocalypse, no Rapture. And there was no drastic shift in consciousness, no spontaneous Awakening or Ascension of the human species. Here in KC the sun was shining, the workers were working, the shoppers were shopping and life went on as usual – the solstice was a pretty normal day. And so was the next day, and the next…
But all around the world, record numbers of people came together with their hearts, minds and intentions focused on Love, Light, enlightenment and evolution. In homes and in churches, in temples, ashrams and yoga studios, and outside under the wide open sky, people everywhere were praying, and holding a collective vision of a New Age of peace on Earth.
We didn’t all simultaneously leap into a new state of consciousness with the flip of a switch, but the kind of intention and group focus that we witnessed on 12/21 has tremendous power. You can be sure that the effects are rippling out through space and time in ways that we do not comprehend.
Just because we didn’t change dimensions, doesn’t mean we didn’t change direction.
I know that change in direction will become increasingly clear as the days go by. Evolution is not instantaneous. The eternal Now is always transforming and renewing itself, and that transformation is from within, outward. What we have concieved within, as a dream and a vision, is shaping and forming and birthing itself and will in due time blossom into manifestation…
The inner growth and transformation of individuals has never been so profound and so widespread. The massive unrest we are witnessing around the world shows that society too is changing and transforming. Advances in science, computers, information and communication are rapidly converging on the point known as the ‘technological singularity.’ The road ahead is new territory and things are getting very interesting…
We are in metamorphosis, my friends!
For me, 12/21/2012 will always be a symbol of the New Dream: the day that humankind collectively stated our intention to live in Light, Love and Peace. The course is chosen, the way is clear. Hold the vision, keep the faith, and walk the path. Live, laugh, love, evolve!

Some have interpreted the prophetic moment as the end of the world. The hundreds gathered in the ancient Mayan city, however, said they believed it marked the birth of a new and better age.
Genaro Hernandez stood with his arms outstretched to the morning light, all clad in white, facing the pyramids’ grey stone, to welcome the new era.
“This world is being reborn as a better world,” said Hernandez, a 55-year old accountant who wore an expression of bliss.
No one was quite sure at what time the Mayas’ 13th Baktun would officially end on this Dec. 21. Some think it already ended at midnight. Others looked to Friday’s dawn here in the Mayan heartland. Some had later times in mind. One thing became clear to many on the site by Friday morning: The world had not ended.
“Wait until the dawn on the 22nd; that is when we Maya will speak,” Nobel Peace Prize laureate Rigoberta Menchu had warned at an earlier symposium.
Calendars may be days off
Mexico’s National Institute of Anthropology and History even suggested that historical calculations to synchronize the Mayan and Western calendars might be off a few days. It said the Mayan Long Count calendar cycle might not really end until Sunday.
Whatever the details, the chance to mark epochal change seemed to be the main concern among celebrants drawn to the Yucatan peninsula.
Hundreds of people were scattered around the vast central plaza of Chichen Itza, some kneeling in attitudes of prayer, some seated with arms outstretched in positions of meditation, all facing El Castillo, the massive main pyramid.
Ivan Gutierrez, a 37-year-old artist who lives in the nearby village, stood before the pyramid and blew a low, sonorous blast on a conch horn. “It has already arrived, we are already in it,” he said of the new era. “We are in a frequency of love, we are in a new vibration.”
But it was unclear how long the love would last: A security guard quickly came over and asked him to stop blowing his conch shell, enforcing the ruin site’s ban on holding ceremonies without previous permits.
What nobody was calling the moment was the end of the world, as some people in recent years have interpreted the meaning of the end of the 13th Baktun — despite the insistence of archeologists and the Maya themselves it meant no such thing.
“We’ll still have to pay taxes next year,” said Gabriel Romero, a Los Angeles-based spiritualist who uses crystal skulls in his ceremonies.
If the chanting and dancing of a crystal skull ceremony held Thursday weren’t enough to end fears of an apocalypse, scientists chimed in, too.

Bill Leith, the U.S. Geological Survey’s senior science adviser for earthquake and geologic hazards, said that by late Thursday, absolutely nothing out of the ordinary had been detected in seismic activities, solar flares, volcanos or the Earth’s geomagnetic field.
“It’s a fairly unremarkable day on planet Earth today, and in the last few days,” Leith said. “There are no major eruptions going on.”
There had been about 120 small earthquakes and a moderate temblor in Japan, he said. “That’s very much a normal day.”
Still, there were some who wouldn’t truly feel safe until the sun sets Friday over the pyramids in Yucatan peninsula, the heartland of the Maya.
Mexico’s best-known seer, Antonio Vazquez Alba, known as “El Brujo Mayor,” said he had received emails containing rumours that a mass suicide might be planned in Argentina.
He said he was sure that human nature represented the only threat Friday. “Nature isn’t going to do us any harm, but we can do damage to ourselves,” he said.
Authorities worried about overcrowding and possible stampedes during celebrations Friday at Mayan ruin sites like Chichen Itza and Uxmal, both about 1 1/2 hours from Merida, the Yucatan state capital. Special police and guard details were assigned to the pyramids.
No signs of pending doom
As Friday’s dawn began sweeping around the globe, there was no sign of an apocalypse.
Indeed, the social network Imgur posted photos of clocks turning midnight in the Asia-Pacific region with messages such as: “The world has not ended. Sincerely, New Zealand.”
Average residents of the Yucatan, where the Mayas invented the 394-year calendar cycles known as baktuns, the 13th of which ends Friday, were pretty upbeat about the day.
Yucatan Gov. Rolando Zapata said he felt growing good vibes.
“We believe that the beginning of a new baktun means the beginning of a new era, and we’re receiving it with great optimism,” Zapata said.
Even before the baktun’s end, hundreds of spiritualists from Asian, North American, South American and European shamanistic traditions mingled amiably with the Mexican hosts at a convention centre in Merida on Thursday.
Dozens of booths offered people the chance to have their auras photographed with “Chi” light, get a shamanic cleansing or buy sandals, herbs and whole-grain baked goods.
“This is the beginning of a change in priorities and perceptions. We are all one,” said Esther Romo, a Mexico City businesswoman who works in art promotion and galleries. “No limits, no boundaries, no nationalities, just fusion.”

British physicists have released a zombie film made secretly in the world’s largest and highest-energy particle accelerator.
The 80-minute film, Decay, was shot in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) – a 27km tunnel 100 metres beneath the Swiss-French border at Geneva where the Higgs boson or “God particle” was recently discovered.

Attacks Against the Scientific Spirit
The obliteration of the Mayan record by the Holy Roman Empire is a tragic loss for humankind. The blatant publication of falsehood on behalf of the nuclear industry is tantamount to a New Inquisition against fact-based science and empirical observation. The enemies of scientific honesty annihilated the Mayan civilization, and perhaps today their psychological descendants will have to destroy Japan to eliminate the evidence. No matter how much the records are rigged, they can never entirely wipe away the facts – liars be damned.

The apocalypse is surely near when Ramzan Kadyrov emerges as the voice of reason.
The ruthless leader of Chechnya is among dozens of Russians officials, priests, doctors and psychiatrists aiming to calm an anxious populace frantically preparing for the end of the world later this week.
“People are buying candles saying the end of the world is coming,” Kadyrov said in comments published on his official website last week. “Does no one realise that once the end of the world comes, candles won’t help them?”
For more than a month, Russians around the country have been buying up candles and matches, salt and torches in an effort to outsmart the apocalypse some believe will come when the Mayan calendar runs out on Friday.
In the coalmining town of Novokuznetsk, shelves nearly emptied of salt stocks last month as the city’s residents prepared to ride through the end of the world. “60 tonnes were bought in one week,” Yelena Zuyeva, a city official, said last week in comments carried on the local administration’s website. “Today all trade companies are working and are ready for any level for consumer activity.”
Online forums have been buzzing with people exchanging tips on what to eat after the entire human population is wiped out on Friday. “If I’m not mistaken, Russia makes all sorts of dehydrated products that are rich in all kinds of vitamins,” a user named Yelena Portnenkova wrote on a forum called “How to live? What to eat?” on VKontakte, the Russian version of Facebook. “Yet filling a garage with stocks of food is not just pointless, but dangerous. If the apocalypse comes, then crowds of hungry, angry, terrified and horrified people will sweep into your garage just because they suspect they might find something edible.”
Government officials have been called upon to calm fears. Vladimir Puchkov, Russia’s emergency situations minister, urged Russians to call his ministry’s hotline if they had any fears. His deputy, Sergei Anikeyev, added: “We don’t believe in the ‘end of the world’ fable,” adding hastily: “But we’re ready to help people with any emergency situation.”
With the end of the world just days away, Russians have moved from buying stocks to thinking long and hard about where to be when the lights go off. In Moscow, an underground bunker built during the second world war for the Soviet dictator Josef Stalin has offered its services: “We invite you to survive the apocalypse on 21 December in Bunker-42 on Taganka at 65 metres underground!” a note written in ominous red on its website cheerily reads.
Alexander Kolomeyets, the deputy head of Russia’s Association of Independent Psychiatrists, lamented the apocalypse-mania that has gripped his country. “There are people who are prone to mental epidemics and I think that most of them are in our country,” Kolomeyets said in an interview with local media in the far eastern city of Khabarovsk.
“What’s happening in our country can be a lot scarier than the end of the world – so any negative information sticks. The more primitive the society, the stronger it lends itself to psychological epidemics. I think in this case our country isn’t very civilised.”

The world will come to an end in just four days, and that’s a huge relief because it means we can all finally stop flossing. I doubt your dental health is going to dramatically change before 12/21/12. You can also stop taking out the trash and paying all your bills.
Over the next four days, we can pig out like obese, flatulent kings, paying no heed to the mountains of junk food, pies and donuts we consume, since obesity won’t really matter after the Mayan calendar comes to an end on December 21st and the universe implodes.
We can stop returning rented DVDs… Tell people what we really think, right to their face… Ask out that pretty girl (or cute guy) you’ve always admired on the off chance that they might have liked you too. What’s to be afraid of? We’re all dead in four days anyway.
Or, you could use the time to ask for forgiveness. Earn a little heavenly karma by engaging in random acts of kindness. Work to make amends in the few days you have remaining.
The choice is up to you. There are only four days left: What will you make of them?
The LIFE question
In truth, your physical life on this planet is quite limited. It may not be four days, since the Mayan calendar prophecy is a wild misinterpretation, but it might be four thousand days (about eleven years). It’s certainly not forty thousand days, as that’s over a hundred years.
So the real question becomes this: You have X number of days remaining in your life. What will you make of them?
Whether X is 4 days or 4,000 days isn’t really relevant. Your physical life experience is limited in duration, and that means you have a limited amount of time to fulfill your purpose for being here.
What is that purpose? I believe it is to experience personal growth and learn how to love. This is what most of the NDE survivors (Near Death Experience) report when they return to Earthly life. In the moments after this life, they are judged on their spiritual growth, the ethics of their actions, and whether they learned how to love.
Your clock is ticking, even if it’s not the Mayan calendar driving it. Each day that passes is one less day you have available to practice love, forgiveness, compassion, ethics and morality.
The universe isn’t coming to an end on December 21st, but your physical experience is coming to an end before you know it. When that day comes, and you face judgment for the totality of your life’s actions, how will your life appear in the eyes of the universal Creator?
That’s the question worth considering this coming Friday, the so-called “Mayan prophecy” day.
And when the world doesn’t end on Friday, you may wish to interpret that as all of us having a second chance to do better. How will you use the rest of your life to do better?

So we’re rapidly approaching the much heralded and prophecised Galactic Alignment, where the earth aligns with the sun through the galactic equator and according to some interpretations of the Mayan’s “Popol Vu”, it will also coordinate with the completion of what’s known as the “Precession of the Equinoxes”, which is caused by the ‘wobble’ of the Earth’s polar axis subscribing a 26,000 year cycle through the 12 constellations of the Zodiac. As I understand it, the Mayans configured their “Long Count” calendar around the prediction to complete on 21st December 2012. Is this true and what might we expect to happen as a result?…

I should quickly add, that many disagree with the timing of this event. Astronomers point to the calculations of Jean Meeus (Mathematical Astronomy Morsels, 1997) who concluded that it actually takes 36 years for the sun to pass through the alignment centred around 1998. By this calculation, there would be a window from 1980-2016 where alignment has already been happening every winter solstice. If he’s correct, and personally I feel a rightness with it, then we’re unlikely to witness anything extraordinary other than trends that have already been happening across the planet (which I’ll come onto in a moment).
Of course there’s quite a spiritual body invested in the Mayan predictions around 2012. To me, the exact timing matters not a jot, because lasting shifts of consciousness happen not according to some particular timing. That said, if we’re open to them, cosmic alignments like these, can temporarily at least uplift consciousness (which we must then integrate over time if they are to remain). And right now, like others, I do feel some pretty major cosmic shifts going on.
The Mayans accurately described a supermassive black hole at the centre of our Galaxy way before modern science discovered it. Passage along this ‘dark road’ or “Xibalba be” as the Mayans more romantically knew it, occurs with the retrograde movement of the Earths polar axis towards the ‘dark rift’ at the Galactic Centre. The Mayan culture apparently considered this as a journey into the underworld, a time of expanded consciousness. Certainly in my observations in facilitating evolving people, there definitely seems to be an acceleration into the darkened inner veils that limit – offering enormous opportunity for people to confront their fears and expand through them.
At this current time, I especially feel the underlying movements of energy as heavy denseness on the global plane of the intellect. Although I don’t feel heavy in myself, I can feel a heaviness infusing my field, an increased density, but one does have to be expanded into multiple dimensions in order to feel it.
Great Opportunity
Many have said that such Galactic Alignment – coinciding with the Precession – has in the past tended to cause dramatic earth changes like pole shifts, solar storms, volcanic activity and even earth crust displacement. For me, I feel the transition is more protracted, aligned with the 36 year window. We are for example already witnessing a gradual pole shift, reduction of the earth’s magnetic field, increasing volcanic activity and earthquakes plus freak weather all at a time when solar storm activity is moving towards a zenith of its natural cycle. So there is definitely the increasing possibility of disruptive events on a global scale, although not necessarily centred around any key date. It is more that we’re traveling into an increasing period of uncertainty and therefore escalating probability of ‘turbulence’.
What we must also take into consideration, are how mass spiritual meditation and ceremony could affect life in various locations in a positive way. And on the other side of the coin, we’re already witnessing escalating popular unrest in hot spots around the world, probably due to the increased catalytic agitation of consciousness. To make matters even more challenging to predict, we cannot rule out ‘false-flag’ scares by the ‘powers-that-be’. These times are indeed a challenge – and therefore an opportunity – of increased personal awareness and responsibility. On the road to Xibalba, there will be many shadows and we must allow the direction of a loving heart to take precedence.
So this ongoing transition is without doubt a great opportunity. Even if the various alignments do not happen as and when predicted, it is clear to many that the Earth indeed is undergoing a major transition. The signs, synchronicities and feelings strongly suggest to me at least, that her centre of consciousness is centering in the Fifth Density. I strongly believe this in itself is the major shift causing the current accelerated awakenings, fragmenting of the old fear based consciousness and a reharmonisation of vibration. It certainly feels that way to me.
Free Will and Self Determination
As this planetary shift currently takes place, I feel the soul of Gaia beginning to squeeze through the plane of the intellect. In my knowing a grid of dense energy, has over the millennia, been established within the human mass psyche by a 4th Dimensional Opposing Consciousness. This “Matrix” is interwoven through the very fabric of society. I’ve frequently spoken of it being unwound and fragmented. To me, this feels like a crucial time in that unwinding. I sense Gaia – and a variety of cosmic energies – gathering at this crucial juncture to break apart various elements of this vibrational matrix, repatriating the Opposing Consciousness and liberating humanity on the mental plane. Wouldn’t it be wonderful were that to happen!
And what about predicted mass awakenings? Well certainly, if such events are marked by a concentration of human focus, if people are caused to look up from the pavement and through the neon lighted sidewalks to the starlit heavens above, that can only be a good thing. Humanity needs as many mirroring opportunities as possible these days. But let’s be clear, no matter what the shift of consciousness that takes place, we still have to process our own inner darkness and clear it in order for the expansion to integrate and remain a part of an expanded awareness.
No matter what goes on, we are blessed with free will. Our Ascension is a constant conscious choice, which although can be spiked during key events such as these, can only be fully integrated by walking the Spiritual Path. And that in itself happens not just on one key day. It takes time, persistence and great patience.

I became acutely aware of a highly evolved, benevolent presence, working through the weave of life since the dawning of time itself. I have come to know this Group of Nine intimately. It guides my life and is the basis of Openhand itself.
