10 comments on “5 Best Countries to Escape America’s Decline

  1. Known as “Switzerland of the Latin America”… that crown has always gone to Chile… not Costa Rica. BTW, the author of this article forgot Chile…
Country is sheltered from the North with the Atacama Dessert, to the east by the Andes, and the south by the extreme cold. It’s a mineral rich country, with one of the best fishing waters on its shores, and some of the most fertile lands in the world lie within the lower 2/3rds of the country.
Problem with Uruguay & Costa Rica is they are small countries surrounded by bigger, countries with unstable governments… this includes pick #5.
Author, you need to do your researching all over. Chile is the best bet in the America’s, by far!

    • Seriously
      Argentina?
They have one of the worst/declining economies in South America. They are doing horribly and their future doesn’t look bright AT ALL..

Chile right now is doing the best of any country in South America SIGNIFICANTLY….then Uruguay..then Peru. So if anyone wants to escape the US economy….go to Chile without a doubt

  2. You need to update your site with the realities of the current political situation particularly in Argentina and Uruguay. Read MercoPress dot com for some independent and objective reporting from the region.

  3. Upgrade what? I totally agree that Argentina is a great place to live. It has the highest GDP PPP per capita in Lat Am, The second highest HDI, the lowest unemployment rate, the second lowest homicide rate (comparable to some West European countries), students from all Latin America benefit from its prestigious and free educational system and there must be a reason why it has the highest percentage of immigrants in Lat Am (more immigrants than Brazil, which is 5 times more populous)…..stop reading low quality papers and pay attention to what really matters. Argentina is on the right track. Great article!

  4. Hey! I know this is somewhat off-topic but I needed to
ask. Does operating a well-established blog such as yours take a large amount of work?
I’m brand new to writing a blog but I do write in my diary every day. I’d like
to start a blog so I can share my experience and feelings online.
Please let me know if you have any recommendations
or tips for brand new aspiring blog owners.
    Appreciate it!
